Yoga Day in My College: A Day of Peace,       Unity & Breath....🧘‍♀️

On 21st June, our college celebrated International Yoga Day — not just as an event, but as an experience that touched hearts and calmed minds.

Here’s how we made the day special...

🌞 1. Early Morning Yoga Session

We started the day with a peaceful group yoga session on the college ground.
Students and teachers sat together on mats.
The atmosphere was silent… just birds chirping and deep breathing.

We did basic asanas like Tadasana, Bhujangasana, Vrikshasana, and ended with Shavasana.

Even 30 minutes of yoga felt like 8 hours of peace.

🎤 2. Speech & Poem Competitions

Some students shared beautiful poems and short speeches on:
"Yoga: India’s Gift to the World"
"Yoga for Mental Health"
One friend even shared her personal story: “How Yoga Helped Me With Anxiety”

🎨 3. Poster Making & Rangoli

The creative team made yoga-themed:
Posters like “Breathe In Peace, Breathe Out Stress”
Rangolis with Om symbols and lotus designs
The colours reflected the calm we all felt inside.
📸 4. Photo Booth & Yoga Poses Challenge

We set up a corner with:

Handmade props like “I ❤️ Yoga”, “Inhale Confidence, Exhale Doubt”
Students took part in a “Yoga Pose Challenge” – Tree Pose, Cobra, and more!

We also got a QR to scan through which we generated our yoga E certificates.

🎶 5. Music + Meditation

The event ended with soothing background music and a 10-minute guided meditation.
Everyone sat in silence, eyes closed, just breathing... and being.

For once, no one checked their phone. We just felt present.
📸 Photo session and guest speech

After yoga we had photo sessions and guest speech who told us about bhig its of Yoga which is not only physically but also emotionally beneficial for aur health.Yoga helps to keep mind calm and relax ourselves.

We all had photo sessions with the guest and our yoga instructors. We enjoyed the day and had lots off fun.

💭 What I Learned

Yoga isn’t just for flexible people. It’s for tired people, overthinkers, students, teachers — for all of us.

Even if you’re a beginner, yoga has a space for you.
This day reminded me how simple breath and stillness can connect so many souls.

"We didn’t just do yoga together, we healed a little together.”
